After supporting the launch and development of many projects, the Rosen Ownership Opportunities Fund (ROOF) has fully expended the contributions it received. ROOF supported research and outreach that would not otherwise have been possible, and several of the projects ROOF initiated will continue to promote employee ownership for years. This report summarizes ROOF's accomplishments and announces that, as planned, ROOF has concluded its operations.

ROOF honors Corey Rosen, the cofounder and long-time executive director of the National Center for Employee Ownership. He is one of the most thoughtful and thought provoking members of the employee ownership community, and his selfless dedication to employee ownership has made the world a better, more engaging place. Although ROOF is closed, all of us look forward to seeing Corey's continuing impact on this field.

The NCEO offers its profound gratitude to Bill Marshall and the employee-owners of Phelps County Bank. ROOF is Bill's brainchild, and he and his colleagues not only made the largest single contribution to ROOF, they worked tirelessly to make it come to life.

In looking back at what ROOF accomplished, Bill says, "Remember that Margaret Mead said, 'Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.' That's the NCEO."

Bill's video introduction to the Rosen Ownership Opportunties fund is below, and an extended PDF of his letter is here.
